I’ve been fortunate enough to play alongside some great artist, in front of crowds large & small, and at renowned and obscure venues. I’ve also been blessed with the opportunity to make my own music. 27thJan 2008......................................Alex Bondonno Quartet featuring Gary Wright on vocals
Alex
Bondonno is a musician with many diverse influences and experiences. A music
scholar from an early age, Alex went on to study at Music atCity University,
London. Here he specialised in both electroacoustic composition, and performance,
taking both on to postgraduate level.
He
studied clarinet and saxophone at the GSMD under Andrew Webster and at the RCM
under Richard Hossford. He has helped founded several ensembles
for the performance of new music including The Zenith Ensemble and Anaemoeblub.
He has worked as a sound engineer and remixed and produced tracks for Horace Andy, All Saints and Seal.
Alex currently has focussed on his jazz performance and alongside directing Straight No Chaser, runs his own Jazz Quintet and is seen performing regularly with many other bands around the South of England.
The line up tonight is Alex Bondonno-saxes, Gary Wright-vocals, Tom Phelan-keys, Nick McGuigan-bass and Noel Joyce-drums.
