Dear All,

Having had the privelege of knowing Emma for a number of years, it was with great shock that Emma passed away. It seemed no sooner had she been diagnosed, that she died.

The family have created this trust as a way of celebrating her life and giving purpose to it all.

Having lost my father from cancer when I was young, and having two children myself this is dear to my heart, and I therefore ask you all to give to this very worthy cause in any way you can. As a way of celebrating Emma's life we are to dedicate the gig on 7th September to her ,and all proceeds raised will go to the trust.

The entry will still be free and donations will be voluntary. We hope that we can, thanks to your generosity, raise loads of money for the charity. If you have any suggestions of other ways to raise money please see myself or Julian.

Please read on to learn more about the trust.

Many Thanks,

Noel Joyce.

EMMA'S BUBBLE TRUST

Emma's Bubble Trust is an active, vibrant charity established in early 2008. As a living memory and tribute to Emma Louise Brandon, Emma's Bubble Trust is committed to raising as much money as possible to help alleviate the physical and emotional suffering of teenagers who find themselves afflicted by cancer.

A much loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, girlfriend, niece and god daughter, Emma was a joyful, fun-loving teenager, affectionately known by her many friends as "Bubble". Emma's serenity and selfless concern for others remain a constant source of inspiration.

Drawing upon this inspiration, Emma's Bubble Trust will work tirelessly to help raise awareness and understanding amongst GPs and teenagers about teenage cancers and promote earlier diagnosis of these conditions. Energy will also be directed towards supporting the families of those affected, ensuring that pastoral care and emotional and practical support are available in time of need.

Emma's Bubble Trust will add its weight to the efforts of other charities that focus their activities on raising funds and awareness of teenage cancers and allocate funds to those organisations conducting research into teenage cancers in general, and lymphomas in particular.

Emma's Bubble Trust will initially focus on supporting the soon to be installed teenage cancer ward at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey - a special place to allow teenagers, like Emma, the place just to be.
