The Soul Jazz Collective play a variety of styles throughout their sets. You can gaurantee a full on evening of musical entertainment.

9th August 2009...................................JazzProof

Jazz Proof are 5 London based
musicians playing in a highly arranged and rehearsed originals funk band. The
band are influenced by the likes of Soulive, Brecker Brothers, Weather Report,Jamiroquai
and many of the local jazz musicians in and around London.
Established at the end of 2007, the band quickly picked up a residency in their
local jazz club (Ram Jam Club, Kingston upon Thames,) which provided an excellent
platform from which to launch themselves. Through the residency the band have
been lucky enough to play with and support some of the finest jazz musicians
in the UK.
The line up tonight is Duncan Eagles-sax, Dan Eagles-guitar, George Bone-piano,
Max Luthert-bass, Louie Palmer-drums.

August 2009............................................James Pusey-guitar
James
Pusey has studied at Leeds College of Music and Guildhall and currently teaches
on the degree course at Brunel University. He is active in a number of different
areas of the London music scene and has performed at Ronnie Scotts, The Jazz
Café and various UK, European and International Festivals. The James
Pusey Group play a mixture of originals and contemporary jazz standards reflecting
the eclectic nature of the group.
The line up tonight is James Pusey-guitar, Brandon Allen-sax, Pete Billington-bass,
Elliott Henshaw-drums.
23rd August 2009...............................Sam Walker-sax
Sam went to Chichester College where he gained a diploma in jazz , it was there that he studied with Bobby Wellins for three years. Sam then went on to Leeds college of music and gained a Degree in Jazz studies,while there he won best Jazz soloist award in 1996 at the National Big Band competition . Sam then went on to work on Cruise ships for 5 years playing in the Orchestra doing West end shows and backing artist, which led on to him becoming Musical director for one of the ships. Sam now gigs around London as a member of the Gabriel Garrick Quintet and the Mike Garrick Big Band as well as various others outfits.

30th August 2009...............................Neville Malcolm-bass

'Level' Neville Malcolm is an understated star on both acoustic and electric bass. Coming from a background in Gospel music, he started out playing organ and guitar but soon switched to bass, turning professional in the early 1990s. He was involved in the development of London's 'Acid Jazz' scene, working with Philip Bent and Steve Williamson. He has since performed all over the world and recorded with major artists such as Billy Cobham, Gabrielle, Tom Jones, Jack DeJohnette, Incognito, Us3 and Joss Stone.
The line up tonight is Neville Malcolm-bass, Dave Lewis-sax, Eddie Herbert-guitar, Noel Joyce-drums.
