Al Scott has been playing the piano for over 10 years, and first became influenced
by the music of Michael Jackson. It must have been the Quincy Jones element
that influenced him. Although his main passion is for jazz music, Al has done
session work for various producers, and featured live alongside DJs in the dance
music scene. Back in Manchester he had a Trio, which played various venues including
Matt and Phred’s, a well-known Jazz club up north.Currently been living
in London for the past 4 years, is involved with various other groups. Plans
for this year involve recording a Trio/Quartet album later in the year. Influences
from artists such as: Bill Evans Trios, Herbie Hancock, John Taylor, Kenny Wheeler,
Victor Feldman, Freddie Hubbard, Miles & Coltrane, Tomasz Stanko, Roy Ayers
& Patrice Rushen too name a few. Bill Evans is his true idol, he has been
listening to him with his various trios, & he still finds his music sounds
fresh & vibrant.

Music, predominantly jazz has been a big influence in jacks life from an early
age, much of which came fom his dad who is an accomplished musician and renowned
jazz educator, Adrian Kendon. Jack plays trumpet & Flugelhorn, and has done
since the age of 10, however began to take it seriously when he joined the Jazz
course run by his father at Chichester College. After completing his studies
on the Jazz diploma at Chichester college, Jack enrolled on BA in Jazz at middlesex
university to continue his education in music. Now a graduate in London Jack
plays with several ensembles in and out of london enjoying exploring the different
avenues in music. main influences being Clifford Brown, Freddie Hubbard, sonny
Rollins, kenny Barron and of course Bill!!
Adam
King:
Adam King became interested in music, and in particular jazz from an early age.
His father played tenor sax and would regularly play, practice and listen to
jazz and other derivative styles at home. His father introduced him to his musical
friends at an early age and Adam found himself regularly playing with these
experienced musicians. First of all starting on alto sax, he then moved to bass
guitar digging the various approaches as characterised by the likes of Jaco
Pastorius and Marcus Miller. After having a particularly memorable experience
at Ronnie’s watching the virtuosic Francois Moutin he felt compelled to
learn and play the double bass. Currently lives in London. Digs Monk, Wes Montgomery,
Paul Chambers, Pepper Adams, Bill Evans amongst others.

19th April 2009............................................Nigel Price Organ Trio
Nigel
was born and raised in Surrey where he still lives with partner Bianca and their
three children - Miles, Herbie and Ella.He began playing guitar aged eleven
and spent the next seven years messing around in school bands/rock bands etc
until he made the dubious decision to join the British Army as an infantry soldier.
After four long, arduous and colourful years he left and moved to Brighton where
he discovered fusion and jazz, trained as a sound engineer and picked up where
he left off with live outfits.Inevitably the days by the seaside had to come
to an end and he moved back to Surrey, forming more adventurous funk and fusion
outfits, touring Europe and eventually becoming immersed in modern jazz. A chance
meeting with Acid Jazz guru Chris Bangs led to a busy recording schedule and
a long term partnership spawning many funk and jazz recordings.
Nigel is now a well established member of the jazz community and is an in demand
sideman as well as leading his own groups, preferring the organ, drums guitar
combo but versatile enough to feel comfortable in a variety of musical scenarios. He
has encountered many different musicians along the way and is pleased to have
played with (amongst others) : Pee Wee Ellis, Alex Garnett, Matt Wates, Bobby
Wellins, Alec Dankworth, Alan Barnes, Martin Drew, Ben Clatworthy, Dave O'Higgins,
