It is by far the hippest and friendliest pub in the borough (if not the world!).This pub is about people! If you fancy a quality drink with fine company, this is the place for you.'This pub boasts the finest beers and wines in the borough',says Julian Apperley the pubs landlord. If you want to come into a world where football meets music, meets art, then this is the place for you!

The Hare attracts an amazing cross section of people from all walks of life-resulting in an enviroment that enables you to just walk in and have a quality drink and stimulating conversation. There is no doubt when you walk in that both music and football are high on the list of priorities.(Julian being an avid music and Arsenal fan!)

The pubs popularity is definately down to the balanced attitude of Julian and Karen who have a way of making everyone feel welcome and at home in his enviroment. Run with great man management skills all the bar staff are positive, helpful, polite but above all strong in personality. It is a testiment to this situation, that the regular numbers seem to continue to increase creating an almost family atmosphere in what can safely be described as one of the few 'real' pubs left in London. No sterility here! For all you smokers out there- Julian has created a fantastic courtyard area out the back which extends the great atmosphere of the Hare into the wild outdoors!

Another aspect to the pub is Julian's love of music which at the moment manifests itself in monthly music featuring the Soul Jazz Collective. This has started to attract new people to the pub of which long term is an area that Julian hopes to expand.A Bar renovation has recently been completed which has greatly improved the performance space for both band and punter.

Having popped along recently to see Julian I was extremely impressed with the detail and pride that Julian takes in cleaning 'the lines' to the barrels. This is one job that he insists on doing himself to make sure that your pint is of the highest standard possible!

This guy cares! So come along and enjoy a superb London atmosphere.

Next gig with the Soul Jazz Collective is Sunday 5th July featuring Paul Jayasinha-trumpet,Ross Stanley-piano
